The simplest way to do it is to drag/drop folders in the library module in the left-hand column. Just drag the folders to the new hard drive. Be sure to do it using the Lightroom library module, don't do it with just your system browser (Finder or File Explorer). If you try to do it using your system browser then Lightroom will not keep track
You can also resolve a 'scratch disk full' condition by selecting additional drives for use as scratch disks. Hold down the Cmd + Option keys (macOS) or Ctrl + Alt keys (Windows) during app launch and set a new scratch disk for your system under the Scratch Disk Preferences dialog that opens. Specify appropriate drive for scratch disk.
I keep getting the "scratch disk is full" and I'm wondering if I can change the C drive to One drive. I have much more space in my one drive, but I don't see where I can actually change the location..I am clicking and double clicking everything in this menu but am not given any more options.
Over the next couple of weeks I want to explore the case for starting over with a brand new Lightroom catalog, and how to go about preserving as much of the work stored in the old catalog as possible (so that you can bring it into a new catalog). Warning, this is as close to the nuclear option as there is, so this is not to be taken lightly.
Ctrl + Alt + , (comma) Command + Option + , (comma) Create new subfolder (segmented tethered capture) Ctrl + Shift + T. Command +Shift + T. Hide/show tether capture bar. Ctrl + T. Command + T. Create a new folder in the Library module.
Hold down the Cmd + Option keys (macOS) or Ctrl + Alt keys (Windows) during app launch and set a new scratch disk for your system under the Scratch Disk Preferences dialog that opens. Specify appropriate drive for scratch disk. Pastaba: Supported drive formats for Scratch Disks. macOS: APFS, macOS extended (Journaled)
